Auburndale Elementary Library

The Auburndale Elementary Library Media Center is a space that is inviting to students and enables them to attain knowledge and further develop their critical thinking skills. Students can visit the library to access books that enable them to encounter new characters and places or strengthen their understanding of topics of interest. The media center encourages learners to seek out answers to their questions and open young minds to new ways of thinking. The library program serves to cultivate a love of reading, inspire life-long learning, and nurture independent library use. Students visit with their class on a four-block rotation in order to check out materials, exercise their information literacy skills, and exhibit digital citizenship.
